Ingredients used:

For 1 people

  • 1.5 cups - Flour
  • 0.75 cup - Warm Water
  • 1.5 tsp - Active Yeast
  • 0.25 tsp - Salt
  • 2 tbsp - Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2-3 cup - Toppings

Recipe steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, warm water, yeast and salt. Mix with a spoon until the ingredients form a ball of dough.
  • Once mixed, transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes. Kneading helps give the dough its shape and texture.
  • Once kneaded, lightly oil a bowl with the extra virgin olive oil and place the dough in the bowl. Cover with a damp cloth and leave in a warm area to rise for about 1 hour.
  • After the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer to a floured surface. Divide the dough into two equal size balls and let them rest for 10 minutes.
  • Using your hands or a rolling pin, flatten the dough into a circular shape. Place the dough on a lightly oiled pizza pan or pizza stone.
  • Top the pizza with the desired toppings and place the pan in the oven preheated to 425ºF. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
