  • 2 dashes - Hot Sauce
  • 1.25 teaspoon - Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon - Celery Seed
  • 0.5 teaspoon - Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon - Black Pepper
  • 1 pound - Cabbage
  • 0.25 cup - Red Onion
  • 2 tablespoons - Red Onion
  • 1 cup - Parsley
  • 2 tablespoons - Fresh Basil

Recipe steps:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the sour cream, buttermilk, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, sugar, celery seed, salt, and pepper.
  • Quarter the cabbage; cut out the core. Using a mandoline or sharp knife, slice the cabbage lengthwise into 1/4 inch wide shreds.
  • In a large bowl, toss the cabbage with the red onion, parsley, and dressing. The salad can be made up to 1 hour before serving and refrigerated.
  • Add the fresh basil, if desired, at the last minute.
